I remember when I decided to quit my job; it was probably the easiest thing to do but the hardest at the same time. It was easy because I was finally chasing my dreams full time, no more moonlighting. I’ve never been here before; it was the hardest because I was not sure of what lies ahead of me. I am not a trust fund kid therefore I don’t have a backup plan, all I have is this and it has to work out no matter what, no matter the cost.

I had the liberty to influence my own destiny; to decide on what it looks like, what it tastes like, and what it feels like. I am doing this for my future children; I’m doing this for my last name not my first. I am doing this for all the young kids from the township that are watching my every move. I am doing it for myself, for my ego, for my self-confidence, for history, for moving mankind forward. I am doing it for all those stories that are untold, for those whom want to tell their stories but have no platform to do so. For Freedom, For Liberty. I am doing this for the S-Class with a chauffeur while I drink Liberado at the back. I am doing this for that holiday home in Franschhoek in the Western Cape.

I am doing this for those who glamorises entrepreneurship on social media because only 10% is glamour. I am doing this for those whom are waiting for suppliers to pay them so that they can pay their staff that they have families who depend on them. I am doing this for my fellow entrepreneurs whom are calling you for R5000 loan so that they close a deal that is worth millions. I am doing this for entrepreneurs that have no idea where next month’s rent is coming from and they know that they have to do everything in their power to get that money. I am doing this for entrepreneurs whom understand how hard it is to build this dream, whom understand that it takes years and patience to build this dream. I am doing this for those whom can’t be in relationships because the dream is much more consuming. I am doing this for those whom understand failure is not the opposite of success, its part of success. I am doing this for someone who just got their car repossessed because they are putting all their money in their dreams.

I am doing this for every one who uses the hashtag #WeAreComingForEverything, because we are coming for that economical freedom. We are coming for everything our parents couldn’t get! We are coming for banks, car manufacturers, hotels, brands, insurance and medical aids that don’t represent us! I am doing this for all the glory; I am doing this for my story because my story is important! I come as one but I stand as ten thousand.
