Alien (1979) and Aliens (1986)

The Alien series has been something on my to-watch list for a long time. There are a bunch of classic movies that I’ve never seen before. For example, I’m a huge boxing fan but I’ve never seen Raging Bull.

I have a general reluctance of watching movies that are more than 30 years old or so but I gave this a shot because of how revered it is. My main problem with these films (and most horror films in general) is that it annoys me when characters are fucking stupid, and they do dumb things that only serve to push the plot forward and get killed.

Like, if I’m on a space mission and an alien embryo attaches itself to my partners face and sprays out acid that melts through our spaceship if we try to take it off…. I’m throwing that nigga off the ship. HE DEAD. There’s nothing we can do for him. These dumb bastards not only let him stay on the ship with an alien attached to his face….they didn’t bother monitoring him to see what would happen.

They just let a random fucking alien run wild on their vessel without a care in the world.

This was only 20 minutes into the film and just based off that alone I was already mentally done with these niggas.

I’m already writing too long so I have to #WrapItUpB. But it also annoyed me how Alien 1 and Alien 2 ended the exact same way. It seemed really lazy.

Both movies were pretty mediocre and I will never watch them again.
