Inspired by the gatherings that naturally form around music-loving families, Broer & Suster reimagines the traditional family get-together through sound. Set within the creative outdoor spaces of Onions & All, the event invites music lovers, selectors, friends and first-time guests to connect through a shared appreciation for soulful, genre-spanning music and meaningful human connection.
Founded on the principles of community, connection and musical family, Broer & Suster is the creative partnership between T-Mo (Broer) and PaleyLa (Suster) — a brother and sister whose lifelong love of music has evolved into a platform that celebrates togetherness through carefully curated sound.
Raised in a family where music was more than entertainment but a way of life, the duo has cultivated deep relationships across South Africa’s rich musical landscape, drawing inspiration from and sharing spaces with some of the country’s most respected selectors and tastemakers, including Vinny Da Vinci, FKA Mash, Hlonifyd, Lochive, Boisanza, June Jazzin and many others.
Their latest offering, Blended, is an extension of that philosophy.
More than an event, Broer & Suster is a musical gathering where artists, audiences and generations meet in the spirit of collaboration. The Broer & Suster Blended edition sees male and female DJs paired together in back-to-back sets, blending their individual sounds, influences and experiences into a single musical conversation.
From seasoned veterans to rising talent, each pairing represents a celebration of diversity, mentorship and creative exchange.
