The Art Branch by Nedbank

With banking changing so rapidly in South Africa. Nedbank recently launched another flagship branch of the future at the Mall of Africa during a vibrant event attended by Gauteng’s MEC for Education Panyaza Lesufi, clients, community members and various social commentators.

The night was about celebrating another leg of the bank that has seen it continue to help plough into the community by enhancing the banking experience of consumers through a choice of banking channels that significantly reduce queuing times and enable clients to do real time deposits and withdrawals.

Part of the night’s proceedings was to celebrate a milestone achieved through investing in programmes that help build the fragment of South Africa. Namely, the Arts Affinity programme which looks at investing in the arts and ensuring that young up and coming artists are well resourced and are able to market their craft to a community of people that will be able to help them grow their financial revenue.

Contemporary artist, Nthando Ngwenya, showcased his artwork collection as part of the evening and said, “It is important for people like yourselves here tonight to support us and help us grow and diversify our revenue. I stand here today as a beneficiary because of people like you and I thank you”
